The home is a comfortable place to live. The management and staff treat Service Users with respect and dignity. Service Users are given the support and care they require to meet their needs.
Safeguarding adults from abuse procedures are in place and staff understand how to safeguard the people they support from risk of abuse.
Each Service User`s individual care needs are assessed and their support planned and delivered in accordance to their wishes.
Service Users , their relatives and other professionals are involved in reviewing their support to ensure it is effectively met.
Risk of Service Users are assesses and management plan put in place to ensure that they are protected from risks associated with their support and care.
Service Users receive their medication safely and medicines are managed in line with the Provider’s medicines policy and procedures.
Gate House work effectively with other health and social care professionals including the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
Service Users choices and decisions are respected. They consent to their support before it is delivered.
The Registered Manager understands her responsibility under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA)
Service Users are provided with a choice of food, and are supported to eat their meals when required. Meals are prepared by staff and Service Users can choose to have their main meals outside the regular meal times . In addition , snacks and drinks are available. Meals are varied to cater for the different cultures. Special diets are available e.g diabetic diet .
